Ancestry Library Edition– Answers await everyone—whether professional or hobbyist, expert or novice, genealogist or historian—inside the more than 7,000 available databases. Here, you can unlock the story of you with sources like censuses, vital records, immigration records, family histories, military records, court and legal documents, directories, photos, maps, and more.

Titusville Herald Newspaper Archive– Provides access to the Titusville Herald newspaper from 1865-2019. Database is searchable, personal logins can be made, images saved and printed.

BML Obituary Index – Database includes over 18,000 obituaries from the Titusville Herald indexed by surname. Sheets can be searched by pressing CTRL+F and typing in a name. Sheets are alphabetical on the bottom of the page. New obituaries added every day.

CCFLS OverDrive– Borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from our OverDrive collection

All content comes from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and includes step-by-step repair information, diagrams, maintenance schedules, parts and labor estimates, service bulletins and recalls.

Consumer Reports – Consumer Reports Online is now available through Erie-Crawford District Library services. If asked for a Patron ID, please enter your library card number (starts with 700).

ePrep – Practice the SAT, ACT, PSAT and more, under timed conditions online grading and video review to improve skills. Access courses by making an account (“Click Here to Register for Your Course” button).

GALE Literature Criticism Online – GALE Literature Criticism Online represents a range of modern and historical views on authors and their works across regions, eras and genres presented as digitized pdfs  and reader versions of full text and excerpts.  Download, print and email article features are available, as well as citations and translations into multiple languages. Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more.

Kahn Academy offers FREE practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computing, history, art history, economics, and more, including K-14 and test preparation (SAT, Praxis, LSAT) content.

Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped for Western PA is at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Their website allows you to search their catalog, apply for services, and more. These collections can also be requested through Benson Memorial Library librarians!

MedinePlus is a government website on medical and health information from the U.S. National Library of Medicine. It contains information about health topics, drugs and supplements, medical tests, medical terminology, and more from a trusted source.

NewsBank provides access to hundreds of newspapers with your library card.

Pennie.com is the official health insurance marketplace for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, taking the place of Healthcare.gov for all PA residents.

PA State Library Digital Photos and Documents Collection – A collection of digitized historical documents and photos curated by the State Library of Pennsylvania.

POWER Library – Search for articles in magazines, journals, and encyclopedia. Find images for school projects. Locate repair information to fix your car. Get informed about medical issues.

Sanborn Maps – The Sanborn Map Company was a publisher of detailed maps of U.S. cities and towns in the 19th and 20th centuries. Titusville’s fire insurance maps are included in the Penn State Collection.

The U.S. Small Business Administration can help you take steps to start your small business. The website has resources on planning, launching, managing, and growing your small business. Business plans, taxes, hiring, applying for licenses and more is all covered on this comprehensive site.

Small Engine Repair Reference Center – Find detailed repair guides for all types of small engines. Offers assistance in providing routine maintenance (tune-ups, brake service) as well as extensive repairs such as engine and transmission disassembly.

Testing & Education Reference Center – TERC – the Testing & Education Reference Center offers test preparation & practice exams for high school, college entrance, professional certification and licensing, military, and civil service. Peterson’s ebooks are available as well as tools for Career Assessment, a Resume Builder and the Virtual Careers Library. Universal Class – Over 500 online continuing education courses available with your library card. These video based courses are for patrons interested in personal or professional growth. As a student, you can sign up for 5 classes at a time & can learn on your own time at your own pace. There is a wide range of subjects which are offered from expert instructors giving continual feedback. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) can be earned on selected courses.
